PROJECT ABSTRACT & OUTLINE
'A&E' is a student engagement project that opens up learning dialogues between groups from different discipline backgrounds at different stages of learning. It is a structured interdisciplinary brief that offers the potential for diverse and divergent outcomes; emphasising the role of collective creative enquiry and convivial learning, through collaboration. 'A&E' is an intensive week long practice-based learning workshop, leading to continuing and open forums for active play, speculation and co-creation, that encourage student participants across faculties to work in new collaborative teams, take creative risks, experiment and learn through 'happy accidents'. Open 24hrs a day, students have the option to participate in 1 day surgeries, or the entire week. Confronted with completely unexpected collections of artefacts rich in data, students will be asked to establish both a problematic enquiry and a relational objective, that leads to an exhibition, instillation, or performance of tangible outputs by the end of week..
